A shooting near the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta has left one police officer dead. Multiple rounds were fired, both at law enforcement and potentially at the CDC. Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum confirmed that multiple rounds were fired. The shooting occurred near the CDC campus and Emory University in Atlanta, resulting in the death of one DeKalb County police officer and an injury to another law enforcement officer.
