Sherrod Brown, the former Senator of Ohio, is trailing incumbent Jon Husted by six points in a recent poll. The Emerson College poll, released on Friday, showed Husted leading Brown by 50 percent to 44 percent. Brown launched his Senate campaign less than a year after losing his reelection bid to Bernie Moreno in November. Despite being the last statewide elected Democrat in Ohio, Brown is expected to be a formidable challenger. The Cook Political Report has rated Ohio’s Senate race from likely Republican to lean Republican following Brown’s entrance into the race. However, Brown faces an uphill climb in the race to win back his Senate seat, as Ohio is considered a solidly red state, which President Trump won by roughly 11 points. Husted was appointed by Gov. Mike DeWine (R) earlier this year after Vice President Vance vacated the seat to join the White House. The Emerson College poll was conducted among 1,000 active Ohio registered voters.
Husted currently holds a 6-point lead over Brown in Ohio, according to a poll. HoangMySpa 131
