President Trump has expressed his plans to investigate NBC’s decision to extend Late Night host Seth Meyers’ contract, referring to the comedian as a “dope.” Trump wrote on Truth Social that there is a sick rumor that Fake News NBC extended the contract of one of the least talented Late Night television hosts out there, Seth Meyers. He added that Meyers has no ratings, talent, or intelligence, and the personality of an insecure child. Trump has criticized mainstream news outlets for years but has escalated his fight against them during his second term, turning to social media to attack reporters and networks over coverage.
Trump celebrated the news last month that CBS was nixing “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” next year and he quipped that ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel should be “next” on the chopping block. In a string of online posts, Trump suggested that ABC and NBC FAKE NEWS, two of the absolute worst and most biased networks anywhere in the world, are not paying millions of dollars a year in LICENSE FEES. He argued that they should lose their Licenses for their unfair coverage of Republicans and/or Conservatives, but at a minimum, they should pay up BIG for having the privilege of using the most valuable airwaves anywhere at anytime.
Meyers, among other late-night hosts, consistently skewer Trump on his show. Trump earlier this year bashed Meyers, saying his show isn’t “entertainment,” but more like a political hit job. He said at the time that he “got stuck watching Marble Mouth Meyers the other night, the first time in months” and called him a “moron.”
